Terms of Use

Effective 13 October 2026 · Last updated 13 October 2026

Bookdfy is new and growing, so this page will change from time to time. When it does, we’ll update it here with a new date, and for important changes we’ll let you know in the app before they take effect.

These Terms of Use (“Terms”) govern your use of the Bookdfy website, web app and related services (together, the “Platform”). Bookdfy is an online platform at bookdfy.com, operated from Nigeria (“Bookdfy”, “we”, “us”).

1. Accepting these Terms

By using or registering on the Platform, you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy, which forms part of them. If you do not agree, do not use the Platform.

You must be at least 18 years old and able to enter into a binding agreement. Everyone who creates an account confirms this when they register. If you use the Platform for a business, you confirm you are allowed to accept these Terms for it.

2. Words we use

3. What Bookdfy is (and isn’t)

3.1 Bookdfy is a solution platform that connects Clients with verified, independent Artisans and gives both of them tools to book and manage appointments. Bookdfy is not a middleman: we do not provide the services listed, we are not an agent for either side, and we do not take part in the agreement between a Client and an Artisan.

3.2 Artisans are independent businesses. They are not Bookdfy’s employees, agents or partners, and Bookdfy does not control how they work.

3.3 Any agreement for a service is made directly between the Client and the Artisan. Bookdfy is not responsible for the quality, safety, legality, timing or outcome of any service.

3.4 A verified badge means an Artisan passed our identity checks when we reviewed them. It is not a guarantee of their skills, conduct or services.

4. Payments between Clients and Artisans

4.1 Clients pay Artisans directly, into the business bank account shown on the Artisan’s Bookdfy profile. Bookdfy never receives, holds, transfers or refunds money paid between Clients and Artisans.

4.2 Prices, deposits, cancellations, rescheduling and refunds are agreed between the Client and the Artisan, and any dispute about money paid for a service is between them.

4.3 Only pay into the account shown on the Artisan’s Bookdfy profile. We are not responsible for payments made to any other account or outside the booking flow.

5. Artisan identity checks (KYC)

5.1 Before an Artisan can take Bookings, they must pass our identity checks by providing:

5.2 Bookdfy reviews this information. Bank account names are confirmed through our payment provider. You confirm that everything you provide is true, current and belongs to you, and you will keep it up to date.

5.3 Giving false, misleading or someone else’s information or documents breaches these Terms. It leads to immediate removal from the Platform and may be reported to the authorities.

5.4 ID documents and NINs are kept in private, restricted storage. Clients never see them; they only see the verified badge. Only Bookdfy can open them, only when needed, and every access is logged.

6. Investigations and release of Artisan information

6.1 Our own investigations. If a Client reports an Artisan for fraud or serious misconduct (for example, taking payment and not delivering the service), or if we find signs of it ourselves, Bookdfy may investigate. While we do, we may suspend the Artisan’s account. Where we believe a crime may have been committed, Bookdfy may report the matter to the police or other authorities itself.

6.2 Release only to the authorities. Artisan identity and verification information is confidential. We release it only when the authorities are involved, namely:

  1. under a court order, warrant or other legally binding process;
  2. on a formal request from the Nigeria Police Force or another competent law-enforcement or regulatory authority for a specific investigation, which we have taken reasonable steps to confirm is genuine;
  3. when we report a matter to the authorities ourselves under clause 6.1;
  4. where the law requires it; or
  5. where we reasonably believe it is needed to prevent a serious risk to someone’s life or safety.

6.3 Only what’s needed. We share only the information needed for that investigation. This may include the Artisan’s name, ID document, NIN, bank account details, phone number and address. We keep a record of every release.

6.4 Clients don’t receive private details. Bookdfy never gives an Artisan’s ID document, NIN or other private information to a Client. A Client who reports fraud gets only what they need to make a police report: the Artisan’s business name and the Booking reference and details. Anything further goes directly to the authorities under clause 6.2.

6.5 By registering as an Artisan, you agree to the investigations and releases described in this clause 6.

7. Accounts and security

7.1 Keep your password private. You are responsible for everything done with your account. If you think someone else has accessed it, tell us straight away (see clause 18).

7.2 For security, you stay signed in for up to 7 days on a device.

7.3 One Artisan account per person or business. Don’t share or transfer your account.

8. Artisan subscriptions

8.1 Artisans pay a subscription to use Artisan features. Plans, prices and features are on our Pricing page and may change; we will give at least 30 days’ notice of price changes for existing plans.

8.2 Subscriptions are paid in advance by card through our payment provider, which may add its processing fee at checkout. They renew automatically (monthly, quarterly or yearly) until cancelled.

8.3 Introductory offers, such as the first-month discount, apply once per Artisan and may be withdrawn at any time.

8.4 Upgrades apply straight away; downgrades and billing-cycle changes apply from your next billing date.

8.5 You can cancel any time from your plan page. Cancelling stops future renewals, and you keep your plan until the end of the period you paid for. Subscription fees already paid are not refundable, except where the law requires.

8.6 A subscription does not guarantee any number of Bookings or any earnings.

9. How you must use the Platform

You agree not to:

10. Content you upload

10.1 You own the photos, videos, descriptions, prices and reviews you upload (“User Content”).

10.2 You allow Bookdfy to host, show and use your User Content to run and promote the Platform. This ends when you delete the content or your account, except for backups or where the law requires us to keep it.

10.3 You confirm you have the right to upload your User Content, and that anyone identifiable in it has agreed.

10.4 We may remove User Content that we reasonably believe breaks these Terms.

11. Suspension and removal

We may suspend, restrict or remove an account, with or without notice, if we reasonably believe:

Removal for breaking these Terms does not entitle you to a refund.

12. Deleting your account

12.1 You can delete your account in your settings. It is deactivated straight away and permanently deleted after 30 days. Signing in within those 30 days restores it.

12.2 Artisans choose how long their account can go without an active plan: 2 or 4 months. After that, it is deleted. We send a reminder a week before.

12.3 Deleting an account removes your public profile and personal details. Artisan verification records are kept for the period in our Privacy Policy so we can still help with investigations, then deleted.

13. No guarantees

The Platform is provided “as is” and “as available”. As far as the law allows, Bookdfy makes no promises about the Platform or about any Artisan’s services, and we don’t guarantee the Platform will always be available or error-free.

14. Limits on our liability

14.1 As far as the law allows, Bookdfy is not liable for:

14.2 As far as the law allows, Bookdfy’s total liability to you for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid Bookdfy in the 12 months before the claim arose.

14.3 Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Nigerian law, including the Federal Competition and Consumer Protection Act 2018.

15. Your responsibility to us

You agree to cover Bookdfy for any claims, losses and costs (including reasonable legal costs) that come from your use of the Platform, your breach of these Terms, your User Content, or any service, payment or dispute between you and another User.

16. Changes to these Terms

These Terms will change as Bookdfy grows. We’ll post the new version here with a new date. For important changes, we’ll let you know in the app before they take effect. If you keep using the Platform after that, you accept the updated Terms.

17. Law and disputes

17.1 These Terms are governed by the laws of the Federal Republic of Nigeria.

17.2 If you have a problem with Bookdfy, contact us first (see clause 18) and we’ll try to resolve it. If it isn’t resolved within 30 days, either side may take it to a court in Nigeria that has jurisdiction.
